Join us this year as we participate in the annual #Giving Tuesday campaign on Tuesday, November 28 from 12:00 am - 11:59 pm. #Giving Tuesday is designed to connect people whether it’s with volunteering your time, utilizing your gifts, skills, or expertise and monetary resources, within our community.
Preparing Our Environment
The prepared environment is crucial to the Montessori classroom, and we believe that every child should have the opportunity to learn in an environment that nurtures their independence and confidence. For over 20 years, our sink and cabinet area has faithfully served generations of children. However, it’s showing its age and poses a challenge: it’s too high for our little ones to reach. We are also in need of painting the classrooms and building interior. We have secured a volunteer to do the painting; however, we will need to purchase the paint and supplies for this project. Our goal this year will be $8,998.00 to cover the expenses for the painting supplies and for replacing the sink and cabinet area.
New Sink and Cabinet Area
This year’s #Giving Tuesday donation will enable us to install a new sink, at the perfect height for our preschoolers, and a new cabinet area, and purchase the necessary supplies that will enable our volunteer to refreshen classrooms and school interior walls.

Breakdown of Donations
- One gallon of paint is $45 and we’ve determined that we will need approximately 55 gallons
- Additional paint supplies will be approximately $125.00
- Plumbing and installation will be approximately $1,600
- Upper and Lower kitchenette cabinets and two sinks will be approximately $2825
- Backsplash and top will be approximately $1650
