Hello! My name is Andrea Dunn, and I am so excited to be your assistant teacher in P.S. 2 this year! I began teaching and training in early childhood education in 1987 while studying at the College of DuPage, and I now bring over 30 years of experience to the classroom. Watching children grow and blossom into bright, independent individuals has truly been one of the greatest blessings of my life.

I started subbing for Mansio five years ago, and this past May I was honored to accept a full-time position. I am so happy to be part of this amazing staff and incredible school, and I look forward to helping make this the best year ever!

Outside the classroom, I enjoy life’s little joys—whether it’s sipping a Starbucks Frappuccino or iced chai, enjoying a fresh salad with a handful of nuts, or spending time outdoors. Fall is my favorite season, and you can often find me hiking, riding my bike along the lakefront, or watching sunsets at the beach. I also love dogs, the color pink always makes me smile, and I enjoy a little shopping at Von Maur when I can. Most importantly, I am a proud mom of four children, and I absolutely love to travel and explore new places.
