MANSIO MENS MONTESSORI SCHOOL
A Children's House of Learning

Mansio Mens Montessori School was established in Geneva, Illinois, over 20 years ago in 1981. The name Mansio Mens is Latin for "A children's house of learning."

Our not-for-profit school is conveniently located near downtown Geneva at 102 Howard Street, just off Routes 38 and 25, in a quiet residential area where children enjoy a warm neighborhood environment. The building resembles and feels like a home with different rooms for different classes. Outside, several recently renovated playgrounds provide room for the children to stretch and exercise their bodies.

Mansio Mens is open to girls and boys from 15 months old through kindergarten-during those first crucial years in your child's development. Both half-day and full-day classes are available in three age groups-15-24 months, 2-3 years and 3-6 years. Learn more about the Montessori three-year cycle.

In addition to being licensed by the State of Illinois, Mansio Mens is a full member of the American Montessori Society (AMS). Our director and all faculty members are fully certified by the AMS or an AMS-approved program. Most of our teachers possess undergraduate degrees. Together, they have over 80 years of experience in the classroom.

Our classrooms offer a non-competitive environment that balances the children's freedom to develop with their responsibility to themselves and others. Each child is unique and operates at his/her own learning pace. Our trained teachers watch each individual child for signs of readiness and receptiveness to new concepts.

"Look around and you will see
A family, community,
Brothers and sisters together are we."

(Song sung by Mansio Mens children before meals)
